What Do I Do If I Want to Adopt a Dane? You can now apply ONLINE! click here to apply online. Call one of our representatives listed on the "WGDR Contacts" page.  When you talk to a Rescue Representative, she or he will have you fill out an application over the phone, or mail one to you. After the application is reviewed an appointment will be made to meet dogs that we feel will fit well with your lifestyle and family. If we have no dogs at the time that will be a good match, we will keep your application on file and call you as more dogs come in. At the time of adoption, a contract between the adopting family and Great Dane Rescue of Wisconsin is made to ensure the safety and well-being of the Dane. We require that all of our dogs be kept as indoor pets and kept up on all of their vaccinations and veterinary checks. All Great Dane Rescue dogs are spayed or neutered before placement to prevent more unwanted Danes.
