Every year, millions of pets who are unwanted, neglected or abused are turned over to humane societies across the nation. They may be surrendered by their owners, found at large by animal control, or seized from abusing owners. There are more pets surrendered than can be cared for by animal shelters and many are destroyed when their time is up to make room for incoming animals. We are a volunteer organization that retrieves Great Danes and houses them, allowing time to evaluate their personalities and to spay/neuter them berfore placing them. Our goal is to place the Great Danes into permanent, safe and loving homes. By specializing in a breed, we are small enough that we are able to keep the dog as long as it takes until a home is found. Since we are Great Dane owners and/or breeders ourselves, we can evaluate a dog and help a prospective family make an informed decision on a pet. |
