WGDR Home What Are Rescue Danes Like? Great Danes are "people dogs"; they are sensitive, intuitive, intelligent and affectionate. The love you give to a Dane will be returned threefold. Because of their temperament, and the fact that they are generally clean and quiet, they mike ideal house pets. The are very devoted to their family.
Each of these dogs has some special characteristic that will tell what sort of home is best for them and their new family.
Many of our rescue Danes come from individuals who surrender their dog for various reasons. Others come from humane societies when they can no longer be kept there.
All of our dogs are evaluated for temperament to ensure the best placement for our adoptive families.
